One of the most famous questions of all time, other than how the earth was formed, is how did dinosaurs become extinct? What caused them to disappear from the face of the earth? How would things be like if they did not become extinct? Would these magnificent creatures be transported to a remote island destined to become a dinosaur themed park? In the famous 1993 movie ‘Jurassic Park’, audiences were transported to a place where dinosaurs were bred by humans and placed in a safari-like enclosure. Though the movie stressed that nature is not something that can be controlled by mankind, the idea of being able to see a living dinosaur today is equally captivating.
Dinosaur fans should take the opportunity to visit the ‘Dinos Alive World Tour’ which is currently held at the National Science Centre at Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. This exciting exhibition has brought many thrills and excitement to dinosaur fans in other countries like Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines. The Dinos Alive World Tour will be here in Kuala Lumpur from 1st December 2010 till 31st May 2011 everyday from 9.00am to 5.00pm. The tour will see 32 ‘life-sized’ dinosaurs including the ever famous Tyrannosaurus Rex, towering above you at a height of 16 feet. There is also an Apatosaurus measuring a whopping 23 feet! Other dinosaurs like the Stegosaurus, the Megalosaurus and the sly Velociraptor can also be found here at the exhibition.
Besides the main exhibition, visitors can also take part in the Fossil Digging activity or take a ride on the Dino Train.
