Kiulu River Rafting (1D)

Kiulu River Rafting (1D)

Experience the great wilderness of Sabah as you raft along the Kiulu River.

This package is the ideal introduction to whitewater rafting in Malaysia. The Kiulu River, located in the northwest of Sabah, is graded as a Class I – II river, and is safe enough for children and the elderly. The journey along the river is the longest whitewater rafting trip in Borneo, covering a distance of nearly 15 kilometers, and offers stunning views of Sabah's wild countryside.

Your excursion begins after a morning drive of roughly an hour and a half from Kota Kinabalu. Before embarking, you will be given a safety briefing session by a professional raft guide who will demonstrate rafting techniques and proper procedures. Then you are ready to make your way down the Kiulu River!

You will find that the rafting trip is mildly challenging, enabling you to admire the lush green rainforests that line the sides of the river. Observe the lifestyle of the rural indigenous people that live by the river as you make your way through the rapids. Rest and savour a delicious lunch by the riverbank at the end of your journey. Unwind after lunch and soak in the serene atmosphere before you head back to Kota Kinabalu in the afternoon.
