Kuantan City And Village Tour (1D)
Experience a mix of modern urban living and quaint village life along the coast of Kuantan!
MORE ABOUT THIS TOUR
This tour take you on an exploration of life in Kuantan, the capital of Pahang state. You will encounter two contrasting lifestyles coexisting in this unique town, the laid back calm of a fishing village at the outlying areas, and the hustle and bustle within the city limits.
ItineraryYour exploration begins as you head north from Kuantan for the fishing village of Besarah. Discover why Kuantan locals flock to this village for its sea catches and other seafood products as you explore this quaint village. Watch the fishermen return with their catch, loading fresh fish, shrimp and squid onto bullock carts, and observe the traditional processes that turn this bounty of nature into delightful delicacies like salted fish and fish crackers.
After that, head back down to Kuantan and make a stop at the mini zoo at Taman Teruntum to see some of the animals indigenous to Malaysia. See some of the more stately residences in Kuantan, including the Pahang royal residence, the Chief Minister's official residence and the Pahang State Guesthouse. See some local culture as you visit a colourful Hindu temple and the State Mosque before reaching your final stop, a handicraft centre featuring Batik cloth making. Try your hand at batik painting and grab a souvenir or two before wrapping up your tour.
