Tabin Wildlife Observation & Nature (3D/2N)

Take a trip into the wilds of Borneo to see some of the island's amazing animals!

This tour sets you up for a brief but memorable encounter with Borneo's wildlife in its natural habitat at Tabin Wildlife Reserve. An animal lover's paradise, many of Borneo's endangered species can be found within this reserve as well as other species of animals and birds.

Day 1: Lahad Datu to Tabin Wildlife Reserve

The tour begins with an hour long drive from Lahad Datu to Tabin Wildlife Reserve, where you can freshen up in comfort at Tabin Wildlife Resort, built within the reserve grounds. The main highlight of the day would be a visit to the Lipad mud volcano, a popular hangout for the wildlife. Rich in minerals, the mud volcano acts as a salt lick for the animals, including deers, breaded pigs, elephants and birds.

Other highlights include a slide presentation on Tabin after dinner and a night walk to look for nocturnal wildlife and birds.

Day 2: In Tabin Wildlife Reserve

For avid birdwatchers, do remember to join the optional early morning bird walk to catch a glimpse of some of the 300 bird species available at the reserve. The day officially begins with a nature trek after breakfast to Lipad Waterfall, a beautiful and delightful cascade. Take a dip in the pool or just relax in the cool surroundings.

Spend the rest of the day exploring other activities available at the resort or just luxuriate and watch animals frolick from the comforts of the resort overlooking the Lipad River.

Day 3: Depart Tabin Wildlife Reserve

Take a leisurely stroll in the morning after breakfast to a nearby rock pool for more animal observation before you pack up and bid farewell to Tabin in the early afternoon.
