Gunung Lang Recreational Park
Located in the northern part of Ipoh, the park is 30 hectares wide and includes a large lake. The area is famous for its stunning limestone hills characterized by a roaring waterfall and a board-crossed swamp. Only five kilometers from the city center, the park is a popular getaway for locals, with fish feeding, camping, a children’s play area and infinite flora and fauna along hiking trails.

Taman Rekreasi Sultan Abdul Aziz (Polo Ground)
This groomed park is in central Ipoh. Popular with citizens, it is often full of families with kids, especially on the weekends. Its large green space includes picnic tables, a playground, and a pond. Great for joggers, the park also puts on soccer matches. Kite flying is permitted too. Weekday mornings are best for those who prefer a quiet jog along the near-1.5-kilometer path.

D.R Seenivasagam Park
Located in the middle of Ipoh city, this park is a green sanctuary that includes a sports field, a moss-green lake, and beautiful picnic spots. Previously known as Coronation Park, it was later named after a famous politician. The park is popular with families as it offers a large children’s playground. Its magic is apparent in the large Japanese garden punctured by a koi pond, where visitors can cross raised and roofed pathways. In addition, is an artificial lake full of fish as well as an on-site plant nursery. The park’s recreational fields are often quite busy on weekends with local sports matches for everyone to enjoy.
