Langkawi is a duty-free island where alcohol, among items, is far cheaper than elsewhere in Malaysia. Stocked with duty-free shops as well as department stores, prices are reasonable. The largest duty-free complex is the Langkawi Parade Megamall based in the Langkawi Parade Shopping Complex. Plus, the Kompleks Budaya Kraf offers handicrafts and other local goods.
