Penang’s theater scene meets the many angles of Malaysian culture engrained in the city’s heritage. Visitors will find most venues in George Town city center; a stone’s throw away from UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Often in venues from another time, theaters cater to modern and historical acts, including Chinese cultural performances.
